This week asked a few questions of another of our brand ambassadors, Edward Bath. A passionate overland adventure filmmaker and photographer who loves travelling to some of Africa’s more remote areas for that elusive shot.
Tell us about yourself and what your passion is?
Hey, everyone, my name is Edward Bath and I am A South African Overland adventure filmmaker and photographer. I am 24 years old and I have had an addiction to the African Bush from a very young age.
My passion is picking up a camera and creating art, not in the city but out there in some of the most remote areas in Africa.
Travelling has always been my favourite aspect of life and I’m in my element when I’m behind the wheel of my Overland kitted rig visiting some of the most spectacular destinations in Africa.
What don’t people know about you?
I have in fact never owned a two wheel drive vehicle. My first vehicle was a Mercedes Benz ml 4×4 and that’s what got me into Overlanding because it was just such an amazing being in a vehicle that could take me anywhere I wanted to go!
Explain what you do and how SnoMaster fits into your trips.
Producing films out there in these amazing locations means that I need gear that I can rely on, especially when it comes to keeping my food and drinks cold.
Sometimes I’m away from any form of civilization for up to two weeks so, therefore, I need to keep everything fresh so that’s why I chose an efficient and reliable Snomaster 81.5L traveller series fridge for my adventures.
What is your favourite feature of your SnoMaster (SMDZ-EX85D)?
My Favourite feature on the fridge is the remote as I often run the fridge in my off-road trailer and it warns me should anything go wrong and the fridge loses power.
Without the remote, I would only realize this when reaching the next campsite which could be twelve hours later.
Which is your favourite camping destination in South Africa and what makes it so special?
My favourite camping destination in South Africa has to be Tsendze Rustic Campsite in the Kruger National Park.
This peaceful campsite located in the northern half of Kruger boasts some of the best game viewing in the entire park and offers fantastic private campsites and awesome ablution blocks.
